Abstract

In the evolving work environment shaped by hybrid work models, organizational support has become a crucial determinant of employee satisfaction and performance. This study examines the role of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) in enhancing Job Satisfaction among IT employees working in hybrid settings in Hyderabad. The primary objective is to analyze how different dimensions of POS—such as supervisor support, organizational communication, availability of resources and technology, work–life balance policies, recognition and rewards, and training and career development opportunities—affect various dimensions of job satisfaction, including satisfaction with the work environment, pay and benefits, management, work–life balance, and overall job fulfillment. The study adopted a descriptive and quantitative research design based on primary data collected through a structured questionnaire. A sample of 399 IT employees was selected using a stratified random sampling method to ensure representation across different organizational levels. The collected data were analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to identify the underlying factor structures of both independent and dependent variables. Further, correlation analysis was employed to examine the relationship between perceived organizational support and job satisfaction dimensions, and multiple regression analysis was used to determine the extent of POS’s influence on overall job satisfaction. The findings revealed a strong positive relationship between organizational support and job satisfaction. Among the POS dimensions, supervisor support, recognition and rewards, and work–life balance policies emerged as the most significant predictors of employee satisfaction in hybrid work environments.
