Main Article Content
Abstract
Knowledge management has become a key factor in improving competitiveness in productive sectors, especially in the dairy sector, where traditional systems and limited access to technical and strategic information predominate. In this context, the objective of this study was to analyze the impact of knowledge management on the competitiveness of dairy producers in the province of Chimborazo, with the aim of strengthening business sustainability. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a descriptive design, correlational scope, and field methodology. A structured survey was administered to a sample of 354 producers, selected through stratified probability sampling. The results showed that knowledge management reached a high level, with a mean of 4.11, with knowledge transfer standing out as the most developed dimension. Competitiveness, on the other hand, presented a medium level with a mean of 3.47, where innovation showed the best performance, while sustainability revealed greater limitations. In conclusion, although producers have a solid foundation in knowledge management, it is still necessary to strengthen key dimensions of competitiveness to consolidate sustainable development and improve their market position.
