Modern Trends in the Formation of Moral Qualities of Senior Students in Conditions of modern Education

Abstract

In contemporary educational discourse, the formation of moral qualities among senior secondary school students is increasingly viewed as an essential component of holistic education. Rapid globalization, cultural diversification, and the expansion of plurilingual education models have reshaped the conditions under which moral development occurs. Plurilingual education, understood as the purposeful integration of multiple languages within the learning process, creates a unique pedagogical environment in which linguistic, cultural, and ethical dimensions of education intersect. This study examines modern trends in the formation of moral qualities among senior students within plurilingual educational contexts.

The research is grounded in interdisciplinary theoretical frameworks drawing from moral development theory, intercultural education, and plurilingual pedagogy. It analyzes how exposure to multiple languages and cultures contributes to the development of moral values such as empathy, responsibility, tolerance, respect for diversity, and ethical decision-making. Particular attention is given to learner-centered approaches, dialogic interaction, project-based learning, and reflective practices that encourage students to engage with moral dilemmas across cultural perspectives. The study also considers the growing role of digital technologies in facilitating intercultural communication and moral dialogue among students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.

However, challenges related to teacher preparedness, curriculum integration, and assessment of moral outcomes remain significant. The study concludes that effective moral education in plurilingual settings requires systematic curricular support, targeted teacher training, and the creation of inclusive learning environments that value linguistic and cultural diversity. The results contribute to current discussions on educational modernization and offer practical implications for policymakers and educators seeking to strengthen moral education in multilingual societies.
