Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education and social support on entrepreneurial readiness among vocational high school students in Pinrang Regency, both directly and indirectly through entrepreneurial skills and motivation as mediating variables. This research employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS analysis. The research sample consisted of vocational high school students in Pinrang Regency selected through proportional sampling techniques. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through validity, reliability, construct reliability, variance extracted, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial skills, motivation, and entrepreneurial readiness. Social support also has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial skills, motivation, and entrepreneurial readiness. Furthermore, entrepreneurial skills and motivation significantly influence entrepreneurial readiness. Mediation testing revealed that entrepreneurial skills and motivation successfully mediate the influence of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial readiness. Motivation also mediates the effect of social support on entrepreneurial readiness, while entrepreneurial skills were not proven to significantly mediate the relationship between social support and entrepreneurial readiness. These findings indicate that entrepreneurship education, social support, entrepreneurial skills, and motivation are important factors in improving students’ entrepreneurial readiness. Therefore, schools are expected to strengthen practice-based entrepreneurship learning, enhance supportive social environments, and foster students’ motivation and entrepreneurial competencies to prepare competitive and independent young entrepreneurs.
