Mapping the Intellectual Landscape of Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship Development: A Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research on financial inclusion and entrepreneurship development published between 2011 and 2025. Using the Scopus database, 89 relevant documents were extracted and analyzed through Biblioshiny to examine publication trends, influential sources, authorship patterns, institutional contributions, citation structures, keyword dynamics, and collaboration networks. The findings reveal a significant growth trajectory, particularly after 2019, indicating heightened scholarly and policy interest in inclusive and innovation-driven entrepreneurship. The publication landscape is moderately dispersed across interdisciplinary journals in management, innovation, economics, and technology. India emerges as the most influential contributor in terms of both productivity and citation impact, reflecting its central role in the discourse. Collaboration analysis demonstrates clustered yet fragmented author networks, suggesting opportunities for stronger cross-institutional and international integration. Thematic analysis highlights entrepreneurship as the core construct, with increasing emphasis on innovation, sustainability, gender, and economic development. The study underscores the evolving and policy-relevant nature of the field and provides a structured overview of its intellectual development. These insights offer direction for future research aimed at enhancing global collaboration and advancing inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems.
