Abstract

Special education is transformed by AI and ML due to the increased personalization and assistive technologies. The findings confirm that AI systems can adapt to the individual needs of the learners and improve learning outcomes, engagement and accessibility. AI tools are also used to support students with special education needs as they are helping them communicate, socialise and be independent in the classroom. The study also reveals that blending technological advancements and teaching strategies can improve the effectiveness of AI in education. While the research suggests that the scalability and efficiency of the system have a high potential, there are concerns like ethical issues, data privacy and equity in access to technology that need to be overcome to implement it in an inclusive manner. Overall, the research shows that AI can help bridge the gaps in the special education field to provide an adaptive and equitable learning environment. So, more research and collaboration with teachers, policy makers and technology developers are essential to fully harness the potential of AI to create equitable and future-ready learning experiences.
