Impact of Determinants on the Sustainable Supply Chains of Community-Based Tourism Enterprises After Natural Disasters in Rural Vietnam

Abstract

This study investigates the factors impact on sustainable supply chain of community-based tourism enterprises (CBTEs) in Rural regions after natural disasters and pandemics like Covid-19 pandemic. It also provides in-depth insights into how the maturity of the sustainable supply chain affects CBTEs' development. This study was conducted on a sample of 318 community-based tourism enterprises in 3 rural areas of Vietnam after Covid-19 pandemic. The data underwent two stages of processing, utilising the ordinal logistic regression model (OLR) to examine factors affecting the sustainable supply chains and the Maturity model to evaluate maturity of sustainable supply chain of CBTEs in rural Vietnam. Research findings indicate that strategies (1.832), customer and supplier management (1.381), sustainable governance (0.942) are the highest factors impacting on the sustainable supply chain. Besides, the maturity of CBTEs is about level 2. In addition, this paper proposes several policies to improve the sustainability of the supply chain for community-based tourism enterprises.
