Developing Pedagogical Communication Competence for Students at Dong Thap University: An Educational Perspective in the New Context

Abstract

Pedagogical communication skills are a distinctive competency of teachers in using language, gestures, and behaviors to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Their primary purpose is not only to convey knowledge but also to create a positive educational environment that fosters learners’ character development.

This study highlights the importance of pedagogical communication skills for primary teacher education students and examines the extent to which these skills are practiced by students at Dong Thap University. As a core professional competency, pedagogical communication directly influences the effectiveness and quality of teaching performance among pre-service teachers.
