Physical Literacy Model Based on Play Activities to Improve the Motor Skills of Elementary School Students

Abstract

The study is development research using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research was conducted in Pasaman Barat Regency, and the samples were SDN 09 Pasaman Baru, SDN 14 Ranah Batahan, and SDN 01 Koto Balingka. This study uses several questionnaire instruments, prototype validity sheets, observation guidelines, and interview guidelines. The instrument, before use, has been validated by the validator so that it provides valid data. The results of the study can be concluded as follows: (1) The results of the initial research show that the play activities that students like are passive games. (2) The design of this model is referenced from the American National Standard SHAPE for K-12, which was developed with the activities of playing traditional games in Pasaman Barat Regency. (3) The results of the development of the model were assessed by the Validator Assessment of the Model Book in the Aiken's V test with an average of 0.862 and an ICC of 0.748, with a very valid interpretation. The validator's assessment of the teacher's handbook in the Aiken's V test averaged 0.848 and ICC 0.946, with a very valid interpretation (4). The results of the implementation of the assessment of the practicality of the model showed that the 14 users (PJOK teachers) gave an average value of the achievement of practicality (practicality) of 82.43, with practical interpretation. (5) The results of the model evaluation revealed that all trial schools showed that the motor skills of the experimental class using the activity-based physical literacy model to improve students' motor skills were higher than those of the control class.
