Determinants of Academic Resilience in Secondary School Students: A Structural Equation Modeling Approach
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study investigates the influence of individual and contextual factors on academic resilience among secondary school students in Vietnam. Drawing from theoretical models of self-regulated learning and motivation (Zimmerman, 2002; Ryan & Deci, 2000), the study develops a structural model integrating five independent variables (Learning Strategies, Learning Styles, Intrinsic Learning Motivation, Parental Support, Peer Influence) and a mediating variable (Self-Regulated Learning) to predict Academic Resilience, measured across four dimensions. The final model was tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS. Results confirm the validity and reliability of the measurement model and support several hypothesized paths. Implications for educational psychology and school interventions are discussed..
