Main Article Content
Abstract
This study seeks to investigate the effects of expressive arts counseling training on enhancing the proficiency of aspiring counselors and examining self-identity. The research design employed a quasi-experimental methodology featuring experimental and control groups. This study engaged prospective counselors in Indonesia who underwent expressive arts training encompassing sketching, creative writing, and symbolic role-playing activities. The investigation revealed that individuals in the program had substantial enhancements in empathy, self-awareness, and introspective capabilities relative to the control group. The findings validate that the expressive arts method effectively enhances professional competence and enriches counselors' self-awareness, rendering it pertinent for incorporation into educational curricula, particularly in counseling services in Indonesia
