The Role of Business Intelligence in Enhancing Organizational Communication and Performance Management in Multinational Corporations
Main Article Content
Abstract
Business intelligence is now becoming more crucial in multinational firms in achieving better organizational communication and performance management through data processing. Although there have been many studies conducted on the adoption of analytics, very few have examined how communication and performance can be integrated in one business intelligence study. This study examines the role of business intelligence through two complementary pathways: Business Analytics Adoption, Knowledge Retention, Dynamic Capability, and Competitive Advantage; and HR Analytics Adoption, Talent Management, and Operational Performance. A quantitative secondary-data approach was employed using two organizational survey datasets. Composite construct scores were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis, mediation analysis, and explained variance assessment. The findings reveal that Business Analytics Adoption positively influences Knowledge Retention, which strengthens Dynamic Capability and subsequently enhances Competitive Advantage. The communication pathway demonstrated substantial explanatory power, particularly for Dynamic Capability. HR Analytics Adoption positively influenced Talent Management and Operational Performance, while Talent Management also exerted a significant positive effect on Operational Performance and partially mediated the relationship between HR Analytics Adoption and performance outcomes. The results indicate that business intelligence generates organizational value through both knowledge-based and talent-based mechanisms. This research emphasizes that the use of analytics in combination with knowledge processes and human resources management can play an important role for improving communications, performance and competitiveness of organizations.
