Abstract
This study explores the role of Financial Technology (FinTech) in shaping the future of risk management within the insurance sector. The rapid advancement of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, blockchain, and machine learning has significantly transformed traditional insurance operations and risk management practices. The main objective of this research is to understand how FinTech influences risk identification, assessment mitigation, and monitoring processes in insurance organizations
A qualitative research approach is adopted based on the analysis of recent academic literature and institutional reports. The findings reveal that FinTech enhances the efficiency, accuracy, and speed of risk management by enabling real-time data analysis, improving fraud detection, and supporting more personalized insurance services. However, the study also identifies several challenges associated with FinTech adoption, including cybersecurity risks, data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, and regulatory uncertainty. The study concludes that while FinTech offers significant opportunities for improving insurance risk management, its successful integration requires strong governance frameworks and adaptive regulatory systems. This research contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive understanding of the evolving relationship between FinTech and risk management in the insurance industry and offers insights for practitioners, policymakers, and future researchers.
