Interdisciplinary Approach to Training Personnel for the Tourism Industry in Conditions of Crisis and Military Challenges

Abstract

The academic paper is devoted to the justification of an interdisciplinary approach to training personnel for the tourism industry, capable of acting effectively in conditions of crises and military challenges. Based on a systematic analysis and comparison of educational programs of Ukrainian and European universities, the fragmentation and reactivity of domestic education were revealed, while leading foreign universities implement a proactive, integrated model. In response to the challenges, a conceptual model is proposed that combines the traditional professional core with four mandatory integrative modules: crisis management and security, psychology and communication in extreme conditions, digital recovery tools, sustainable development and ethics. The model provides for a two-level implementation mechanism through consortia of social partnership “university-business-state” and organizational training aimed at forming an adaptive specialist-transformer. The conclusions emphasize that the transformation of the educational paradigm on the basis of interdisciplinarity is a critical factor in building a sustainable, competitive tourism industry in Ukraine in the post-war period.
