Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of educational content on social media on the understanding and behavior of junior high school (Sekolah Menengah Pertama/SMP) students regarding birth rate control. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, in which questionnaires were distributed to 70 students from grades VII, VIII, and IX. The collected data were analyzed using several statistical tests, including validity and reliability tests, Pearson correlation, simple linear regression, ANOVA, and t-tests. The results indicate that educational content on social media has a significant influence on students’ understanding and behavior, with a correlation coefficient of 0.516 and a significance level of 0.000. Linear regression analysis shows that approximately 26.6% of the variation in students’ behavior can be explained by their level of understanding of information obtained through social media. The results of the ANOVA and t-tests reveal no significant differences based on grade level or gender. These findings suggest that social media serves as an effective and equitable educational tool in shaping students’ awareness and positive behavior regarding the importance of birth rate control.
